Watch Out! A DIY Minecraft Creeper is Coming Your Way

With what I have brought to you today, you might wanna take cover. By the power of my crafting skills and the magic of Minecraft, I have brought to life a fearsome creature that will strike fear into the hearts of all who dare to cross its path: behold, the infamous Minecraft Creeper! With some easily available ingredients, we are gonna summon this adorable but explosive creature to life that looks like it came straight outta the game. It is the perfect addition to any Minecraft-lover’s collection.

With me being both a real minecraft lover and a DIY enthusiast, I couldn’t pass making a minecraft creeper considering how it is one of my most favourite mobs out there and also how it is an iconic symbol of the game, like it almost represents Minecraft. I love the camouflage skin of it and the way it creeps on you and “hisses” before it explodes on your face, and the very fact that it explodes! It makes it interesting. And it is kinda cute too. What a deadly combination right? Just like my girlfriend (that is, my imaginary one of course).

So I just had to make one immediately. I mean, imagine having your very own Creeper in your room, lurking in the shadows and creeping to surprise your friends! I personally love having my Creeper peeking out from my wardrobe, it’s such a cool addition to my room decor. Because remember, the stuff in your room defines who you are as a person and your unique identity (but don’t get that too much over your head, the goal is to be creative, not materialistic).

And the making is pretty simple too. All you need is some paper, cardboard, some glue and scissors and you are good to go. You could also choose to paint the green and dark colours, that is the skin of the creeper, if you want but I have taken the approach of printing the net of the creeper first, then cutting them out and then cutting out nets of the same size from cardboard and finally assembling them all together. Now, follow along with my video, that I made of the making, and you will have your very own creeper in no time! And you can even customise it if you like or make a whole mob of them creepers and I don’t know, invade you neighbour maybe.

And keep a look out cuz they could be creeping on you. I usually let them lurk around in the depths of my wardrobes. And some of them also show the tendency to creep into the diy minecraft chest that we made earlier.

And here are some really cool facts about creepers if you didn’t know. Did you know that this iconic character was actually a happy accident? The Creeper was born out of a pig model swap gone awry. That explains the resemblance of some of it’s features.

Another one is that they are cat-repellent and avoid cats completely. So go get some fish and carry around some cats while venturing out.

But perhaps the most intriguing fact about Creepers is that they drop music disks which can be played in the jukebox. However, to get your hands on one of these discs, they will have to be killed by the arrow of a skeleton. Ain’t the creeper an interesting fella!
