Unleash the Undead! Make a DIY Minecraft Zombie from Cardboard

Are you prepared to bring an iconic Minecraft enemy to life in the real world? Zombies hold a special place in the Minecraft world as one of the first enemies we encounter. Their presence adds excitement and suspense to the game. Inspired by their eerie allure, I thought it would be fun having a zombie crawling and wandering about in my room ready to attack the first player (family or friend) it encounters.

To get started, you’ll only need some basic supplies like paper, glue, and cardboard. To make things even easier, I found a good template on pixelpapercraft.com that you can find here:

With our supplies ready, it’s time to bring our Minecraft zombie to (un)life. I’ll walk you through each stage of the creation in this stop-motiony video.

And so, with a groan, our cardboard Minecraft zombie comes to unlife! Once you have summoned the zombie, it’s time to decide how you want to unleash it upon the world. Personally, I enjoy placing my zombie on a shelf or atop my wardrobe, as if it’s prowling and ready to pounce on unsuspecting players (or perhaps scare the socks off friends and family). It would be perfect for startling and scaring children (evil laugh!). Just kidding, the kids are gonna love it actually.

Now for some bonus facts about minecraft zombies, did you know that zombies have difficulty spotting players wearing carved pumpkins on their heads? It’s a handy tactic for night-time adventures.

Additionally, these undead creatures have an inexplicable hatred for turtle eggs, often smashing them when encountered. No one know why though.

And let’s not forget the adorably menacing baby zombies. And if it wasn’t worse already that they are fast and annoying, they can also sometimes ride a chicken, know as a chicken jockey, and if you were to encounter one of those, RUN! They are also fast and annoying and can also inflict some real damage.

Now don’t wait for the sun to rise, start crafting now! Braaaains… I mean, let’s get crafting! (Grrrrr…)
