Welcome, builders! Today, we shall build a Snow Golem!
Snow Golems are undeniably one of the coolest (pun intended) mobs in Minecraft. I am absolutely captivated by these passive creatures and their unique characteristics. I love how they roam around, detect hostile mobs, and launch snowball attacks! Like, how cool is that? So, I couldn’t resist the frosty temptation of bringing a Minecraft snowman to life in our realm.

Ever since I got introduced to the existence of snowmen in Minecraft, I was instantly super intrigued. I just love making these golems and the moment they are brought to life, they just look around and some give us a real innocent look (which I find interesting) and then carries on to roam around and move like an enemy detector. Plus, they only require 2 snow blocks and a pumpkin to bring to life, so it is really easy to make an entire army of them. It’s truly fascinating!
Since that discovery, I’ve made it a point to cultivate pumpkins near my base. I mean, aren’t these guys the real deal? I always use them as my guards for my base for which I have come up with a special guard tower design (that I may share in a future video). I also use them as enemy detectors, but my favorite thing to do is create an army of them and then just watch them roam around in the snow. The sheer delight of observing these snowmen gracefully gliding across the snowscape is a sight to behold. Their presence adds an enchanting ambiance, reminding me of the wonders of Minecraft’s world. I find solace in crafting and nurturing these snowy entities.
That obsession even led me to build a snowman builder machine using redstone and other resources. While a fully automatic machine didn’t seem possible, I managed to create a semi-automatic version that can easily create a lot of em. Stay tuned, as I may share a video of this marvelous creation in the future (let me know if you’d like that).
Now, back to our realm, with simple supplies like paper, glue, and cardboard, you too can create your very own cool snowman. What about the pumpkin head? Snow worries, cuz I’ve got a template for that:
As for building the snowman, check out this stop-motiony video that shows the snowman take shape through each step. Follow along!
And once you have built it, think of all you can do with it! They make excellent decor for any room especially for someone who loves minecraft (or the snow). I also use them to gaurd my base (my room) from hostile mobs (that I created and have gone rogue).
And finally, for some facts on the snow golem that you might find interesting, it’s theoretically possible for an Enderman to create a Snow Golem on their own by accidentally placing a pumpkin on the snow. Imagine stumbling upon such a rare sight! Additionally, beneath the carved pumpkin lies the Snow Golem’s true face. By using shears, players can remove the pumpkin and reveal the creature’s hidden funny face. Although, I personally prefer the snowman’s charm with the pumpkin intact.
Now then, make some snowmen and let the snow fight begin!
